2. Mission
The well-being of research participants must take precedence over scientific and social interests, and their dignity and human rights must be respected. This principle is clearly stated in the Ethical Guidelines for Medical and Biological Research Involving Human Subjects.
Our Office provides support services in research ethically appropriate studies smoothly and responsibly.
We also promote ethics education and foster human resource development through the operation of the Research Ethics Review Committee Secretariat.
3. Activity Details
The use of human-derived samples and personal information is essential for research at NIBN. To support such activities, our office offers advice and assistance from both ethical and policy perspectives, while ensuring the dignity and rights of patients and donors are protected. The Research Ethics Review Committee meets regularly to evaluate the ethical and scientific validity of proposed or ongoing life science and medical research involving human subjects.
In addition, we plan and conduct training session and educational programs on research ethics, equipping researchers with the necessary knowledge and skills before the start of their studies.
